Catherine Shari (MD, MMED) is an emergency physician and Honorary lecturer at MNH and MUHAS. She served as the Head of the Emergency Medicine department and coordinator of EM residency at MUHAS Academic Medical Centre for 6 years before joining the US Mission as the Embassy Physician in 2021. She is an NIH-Fogarty Global Health Alumni from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF, with research interests including pediatric global health, trauma, and health education. She is married with 2 children. When she is not teaching, seeing patients, or running the ED she likes playing the role of the best wife, mother, and singer.
