Marwa Obogo is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner Specialized in Emergency Nursing currently working at Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) in Emergency Medicine Department (EMD). Marwa was employed in MNH in 2006 where he worked for two years as an anaesthetist before joining Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) to pursue MSc. Critical Care and Trauma.and graduated in December 2010. Marwa has attended extensive trainings in critical care and emergency nursing and awarded certificates from Uppsala Sweden and Yonsei University in South Korea. He is an Honorary lecturer at MUHAS.
Marwa has been working in EMD since 2010 as a critical Care nurse Specialist with specific roles of providing emergency nursing care to traumatic and critically ill patients. Since 2017 Marwa was promoted to be EMD Block Manager and given nursing leadership and managerial roles to assure that quality and timely emergency care is provided to all patients. Marwa is a certified Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider and BLS instructor by American Herat Asociation (AHA)
Marwa is committed to advocating and promoting the advancement of emergency and critical care nursing in Tanzania, and he believes in team work. Marwa is a founder and exective committee member of Emergency Medicine Association of Tanzania (EMAT) and founder member of Tanzania Critical Care Nurses Association ( TCCNA).
