Mudit Gupta is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania and an attending physician in pediatric cardiology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Gupta specializes in congenital interventional cardiology, performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures. He also cares for patients referred to the Jill and Mark Fishman Center for Lymphatic Disorders, an international referral center for diagnosis and treatment of Lymphatic diseases. Dr. Gupta performs interventional procedures to treat Lymphatic conditions common in congenital heart disease patients such as plastic bronchitis and chylous effusions. Dr. Gupta completed his PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania studying epigenetic regulation of early cardiac cell patterning. He has an active research program studying vascular pathology related to congenital heart disease including pulmonary vein stenosis and Lymphatic disorders. He and his wife have two young children and a golden retriever.
